“YOU I COULD NOT SAVE, WALK WITH ME” എന്ന പേരിൽ കേരള ലതിതകലാ അക്കാദമിയിൽ നടന്ന കലാ പ്രദർശനത്തിൽ അദ്ധ്യാപകനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമായ ഡോ.വിനിൽ പോൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. ആഗസ്റ്റ് 11, തിങ്കളാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ട് ‘ ഗാന്ധിയും കൊളോണിയൽ ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫിയുടെ നിശബ്ദതകളും’ എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയാണ് ഡോ. വിനിൽ പോൾ സംസാരിച്ചത്. സമദർശിയുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള തൃശൂരിലെ ജനാധിപത്യ മതേതര കൂട്ടായ്മയായിരുന്നു കലാപ്രദർശനത്തിൻ്റെ സംഘാടകർ.

What do photographs hide as much as they reveal?  At the Gandhi Art Exhibition in Thrissur, Dr Vinil Paul—teacher, writer, and cultural thinker—unravelled the layers of “Gandhi and the Silences of Colonial Photography.” His talk, held on August 11, invited audiences to see beyond the frame and question how colonial-era images shaped and silenced narratives of Gandhi and India’s struggle.

Organised by Samadarshi in collaboration with Thrissur’s democratic secular groups, the exhibition bridged history, art, and political critique.
